Banks looking to do business in China may want to shore up their cyber defences
“Hackers tied to China's military have stolen data from hundreds of U.S. companies, including financial firms, over the past six years, some American computer security researchers have charged.
Since 2006, the group, dubbed APT1, has swiped business plans, technology blueprints, manufacturing processes, testing results, pricing documents, emails and contact lists, and network user credentials from at least 141 companies in 20 industries in 15 countries, including 115 victims in the U.S., according to a report published Tuesday by Mandiant, a digital security firm."

‘Banking Hours’ Rendered Moot by Mobile Banking: Deloitte
The old term 'banking hours' has been rendered moot by mobile technology, as financial customers expect to access their account information 24/7 from their home, office or smartphones. Financial institutions, keen to grab their share of what is expected to become a $400 billion industry by 2015, are developing mobile initiatives which can reduce costs, increase revenue and create a more integrated user experience for their customers.
