London Risk Register - Updated Version

The recently published Version 2.0 of the “London Risk Register” provides the current assessment of the risks facing organizations located in London. It was approved by the London Resilience Forum earlier in June and describes the likelihood and potential impact of a range of different risks that may affect London.

The London Risk Register has three main purposes:
  • To help all emergency responders and communities have a common understanding of the risks facing the local community
  • To provide a basis for proportionate resilience planning
  • To provide a basis for the development of planning assumptions and evaluation.
According to the updated register the highest threats are:
  • Severe inland flooding
  • Fluvial or surface run-off
  • Influenza Pandemic
  • Telecommunication infrastructure failure.
