new research paper from American Banker says that as of September 84 percent of banks surveyed have implemented some form of mobile banking. Research also shows that by the end of 2015, that number is expected to climb to 93 percent. Pretty progressive on the part of financial institutions, and logical when you consider the amount of money they look to save by cutting down on branch banking and paper processes in favor of the more frictionless mobile transactions.
The problem is that customers aren’t downloading the banking apps needed to turn their mobile phones into mobile tellers.”
