“Hewlett-Packard is the latest of several tech companies to be blamed for high-profile failures of customers' IT systems.
Lloyds Banking Group, the largest retail bank group in the United Kingdom, apologized this week to customers who were unable to withdraw cash from ATM machines or use their debit cards for transactions after two servers failed. The problems lasted as long as four and a half hours on Jan. 26 and affected Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and TSB, which are all part of the group.”
